Tofu Lettuce Wraps

This recipe is our version of P.F. Chang’s tofu lettuce wraps. These are so easy to make and the whole family loves them!


Tofu Lettuce Wraps

Easy vegan, low carb meal the whole family will love

Makes: 8 servings

  • 1 block tofu, crumbled
  • 2 tsp avocado oil
  • 8 oz bella mushrooms, minced
  • 3 T hoisin sauce
  • 3 T soy sauce (sub. gluten-free soy sauce, tamari, or liquid aminos if desired)
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • Handful of fresh basil, chopped
  • A head of romaine or iceberg lettuce (note that there is currently a recall on all romaine lettuce so check before purchasing)

  1. Combine tofu and avocado oil in fry pan on medium heat
  2. Saute until tofu is dry (the excess water has cooked out)
  3. Add the mushrooms ans saute
  4. While mushrooms are cooking, combined hoisin sauce, soy sauce (or substitute), apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil in small bowl
  5. Once the mushrooms are soft, add the garlic and ginger and mix well
  6. Turn heat down to low, add the sauce and mix well
  7. Mix in the fresh basil
  8. Spoon the tofu/mushroom mixture into lettuce leaves and enjoy!
